Disclaimer: Therapy is not just for people with “problems”. Therapy is for anyone looking to live a fuller and happier life. In my sessions, therapy is a time for you to work on having a better relationship with yourself, your feelings and emotions, and to discover your most authentic state of being.
This is also a place for us to work on anything preventing you from living the life you want. Whether that is self-confidence, communication skills, setting boundaries, making decisions, or anything else! When you are able to tap into and become your truest, most centered and loving self, that energy will spill into all areas of your life.
Are you deciding between couples therapy and individual therapy? I am more than happy to talk with you on a consultation call and help you decide which is best for you, but here are a few guidelines to get you started:
- If you are looking to work through your own thoughts, feelings and wants before you communicate them to a partner, individual therapy is most likely the right fit for you.
- If you feel you know what you want in life but struggle bringing it to fruition, individual therapy is probably going to be for you.
- If you are however, looking to work through something together, as well as individually, such as an external crisis or communication, couples therapy might be a better fit.
- If you choose individual therapy, we may also host your partner on occasion to work on specific goals.
